The People's Court of Binh Thuan province recognized an amicable settlement for patent infringement case

On March 31, 2014, the People's Court of Binh Thuan province issued a Decision no. 01/2014/QDST-KDTM recognized an amicable settlement between the parties involved, the details of which are as follow:

The Parties

The Plaintiff is Minh Tac Co., Ltd., represented by Pham & Associates in HCMC

The Defendants are:  

- The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Binh Thuan province

- The People's Committee of Tuy Phong District

- Thang Long Hydroelectricity & Water resources Construction Consultant J.S. Company 

- Center for Consultant & Technology Transfer on Water Resources.

Decided

- The People's Committee of Tuy Phong District and Center for Consultant & Technology Transfer on Water Resources compensate the Plaintiff for 151,391,126 VND.

- The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Binh Thuan province and Thang Long Hydroelectricity & Water resources Construction Consultant J.S. Company compensate the Plaintiff for: 170,173,976 VND.

The Decision is effective immediately as from the date of its promulgation without further appeal under the appellate procedure.
