Applied-for mark “ATSDENYO” is being opposed

DENYO KABUSHIKI KAISHA (also trading as DENYO CO., LTD.).; headquartered at 2-8-5, Nihonbashi-horidomecho, Chuo-ku, Tokyo, Japan (JP)., owner of VN Trademark Registration No.28456 “Denyo” (the cited marks) currently in effect in Vietnam for products “…; generators, engine-driven generators;…” in Class 07 and other products in Class 09 has petitioned with the IP Vietnam to oppose VN TM application no.4-2018-17505 “ATSDENYO” (the contested mark”) for "Generators, motors” in Class 07 on the grounds of confusing similarity to the earlier cited marks, in particular:(i) the contested word mark “ATSDENYO” contains the entirety of the cited trademark “Denyo”, and (ii) the products covered by these marks are identical and/or similar to each other.
