Applied-for mark “COCOGROUP..., figure” is being opposed

Grounds: Article 74.2(e), IP Law.
CHANEL (FR), the owner of the Intl.Trademark Registration No.363419 “COCO” designating Vietnam, has petitioned with the IP Vietnam to oppose the National Trademark Registration Application No.4-2021-52708 “COCOGROUP vuon toi tam cao moi, figure” (in Vietnamese means COCOGROUP reaches new heights) sought for registration of products/services in Class 35, 36 and 37 on the grounds that the intended trademark is confusingly similar to the already registered trademark “COCO”, namely they are: (i) similar in their structure, pronunciation and visual impression, and (ii) registered for similar and related products and services.
The case is being handled by the IP Vietnam./.
