Applied-for mark “PRADA” is being opposed

Grounds: Article 74.2(e) and 112, IP Law
PRADA S.A., addressed at 23, rue Aldringen, L-1118 Luxembourg (LU), owner of Intl’ Registration No.1208989 “PRADA” (the cited mark) – protected in Vietnam for products in Class 25 and other classes has petitioned with the IP Vietnam to oppose the national applied-for mark application No. 4-2022-284417 “PRADA” in stylized form for clothing, footwear, belts, headwear and footwear in the Class 25 on the grounds that (i) the products that the applied-for mark registered for is identical or similar to those of the cited mark, and (ii) these marks are similar in respect of their appearance, pronunciation and overall impression.
The case is being handled by the IP Vietnam./.
