Applied-for mark  “SATA, figure” is being opposed

Apex Brands, Inc., addressed at 1000 Lufkin Road, Apex NC 27539 (US), the owner of Intl’  Registration No.1363690 “SATA” (the cited mark) – protected in Vietnam for products/services  in Class 06, 07, 08, 09, 25 & 37 has petitioned with the IP Vietnam to oppose the national applied-for mark application No. 4-2022-18916 “SATA, figure” (the applied-for mark) for “clothes, garments” in Class 25 and other products/services in Class 35 & 40 on the grounds that (i) the list of products in Class 25 of the applied-for mark is identical or similar to those of the cited mark already registered, and (ii) the word element "SATA" in the applied-for mark is identical to the cited mark.

The case is being handled by the IP Vietnam./.
