Applied-for mark  “SC WHITE, figure”  is being opposed

CHANEL (FR), owner of Intl’ Registration No.1189929 “CC, figure” - (“cited mark”) - for protection of products in Class 03 and other classes has petitioned with the IP Vietnam to oppose the national applied-for mark application No. 4-2022-15590 "CC WHITE, figure” for protection of cosmetic products, namely essential oils, perfumes, hand sanitizers, laundry detergent - conditioner  in Class 03 and functional food, nutritional food in Class 05 on the grounds that the contested applied-for mark is confusingly similar to the earlier cited mark which has been widely used in Vietnam and the world, namely (i) “CC WWHITE, figure” is similar to “CC, figure” in respect of their appearance and visual impression, and (ii) the products bearing these trademarks are similar, of the same nature and often distributed on the same channels.

The case is being handled by the IP Vietnam./.
