S.C. Johnson & Son, Inc., the owner of Trademark Registrations No.263338; No.316278 and International Registration No.1266841 has filed an application with the IP Vietnam to oppose applications No. 4-2021-34241 “HC DUCKY PRO”; No. 4-2021-34242 “HC DUCKY SMART, HC DUCKY PRO BATHROOM, figure"; No. 4-2021-34243 “HC DUCKY POWER, HC DUCKY PRO BATHROOM, figure” and No. 4-2021-34244 “HC DUCKY GOLD, HC DUCKY PRO BATHROOM, figure ” on the grounds that the applied-for trademarks are confusingly similar to the prior trademarks “DUCK,figure” as (i) they are similar with regard to their structure, pronunciation, meaning and overall impression, and (ii) the goods sought for registration are identical/similar.
