Industrial property fees from January 01 – June 30, 2021 at the IP Vietnam
On December 29, 2020, the Minister of Finance issued Circular No.112/2020/TT-BTC regulating the rates of a number of charges and fees to support and remove difficulties for production and business and ensuring social security in response to the Covid-19 epidemic (“Circular No.112”).
Regarding industrial property (IP) from January 1 to June 30, 2021 the IP fee is equal to 50% of the fee rate specified in Section A. Schedule of IP fees and charges, issued together with the Finance Minister's Circular No.263/2016/TT-BTC dated November 14, 2016 prescribing rates, collection regime, payment, management and use of IP fees and charges (“Circular No.263”).
(Section A of Circular No.263 includes the following fees: (i) filing an application for IP rights registration, (ii) issuance of Protection Titles, Registration Certificates of IP rights assignment contracts, (iii) maintenance, renewal, termination or invalidation of Protection Titles and (iv) issuance, publication and recordal of industrial property representation service practice certificates).
From July 1, 2021, the IP fees rate will comply with the provisions of Circular No. 263./.
