IP Vietnam: Industrial property fee reduced by 50% from July 01 – December 31, 2021
On June 24, 2021, the Minister of Finance issued Circular No. 47/2021/TT-BTC stipulating the rate of collection of a number of fees and charges in order to support and remove difficulties for those affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Accordingly, from July 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021, the industrial property fee will continue to be reduced by 50% of the fee rate specified in Section A of the industrial property fee and charge rate promulgated and enclosed with Circular No. 263/2016/TT-BTC dated 14/11/2016 (“Circular No.263”).
(Section A of Circular No.263 includes the following fees: (i) filing an application for IP rights registration, (ii) issuance of Protection Titles, Registration Certificates of IP rights assignment contracts, (iii) maintenance, renewal, termination or invalidation of Protection Titles and (iv) issuance, publication and recordal of industrial property representation service practice certificates).
From January 1, 2022, the industrial property fee rate will comply with the provisions of Circular No. 263./.
