Client Update: New Regulations for Second-hand Machinery, Equipment and Technology Imports
On July 15, 2014, the Ministry of Science and Technology issued Circular 20/2014/TT-BKHCN that aim to regulate and supervise the import of second-hand machinery, equipment, technology.
Accordingly, the Circular regulates that the machinery, equipment and technology, if imported, must be in use for less than five years. The remaining quality is 80 per cent as good as a new one, which is based on technical parameters of used machinery in comparison with that of a new one.
The Circular will come into effect from September 01, 2014.
