How to improve the quality of human resources on intellectual property?
In-House Community | 17/12/2018
In order to improve the quality of intellectual property human resources, it is necessary first to recognize the role of intellectual property in the development of the country. Next, there’s a need to train lecturers, experts up to university and post-graduate degrees in intellectual property, making intellectual property a subject at universities and colleges.
As one of the three pillars of international trade today, intellectual property plays an important role in Viet Nam's international economic integration. IP protection is being confronted with increasingly pressing and urgent issues.
Meanwhile, community knowledge about intellectual property is relatively little compared to the needs of the reality. Therefore, to build up highly qualified human resources in the field of intellectual property, contributing to improving the effectiveness of intellectual property law enforcement, there should be intensive training programs on intellectual property.
Talking about this issue, Mr. Nguyen Van Bay - Director of Research and Training Center, National Office of Intellectual Property (NOIP) said in order to improve the quality of intellectual property human resources, it is necessary first to recognize the role of intellectual property in the development of the country. Next, there’s a need to train lecturers, experts up to university and post-graduate degrees in intellectual property, making intellectual property a subject at universities and colleges.
In addition, Mr. pointed out, there should be more short-term training programs to grant intellectual property certificates suitable for various participant groups and to raise awareness on intellectual property through training courses and mass media.
