Seminar on Geographical Indications for Phu Quoc Fish Sauce Products
On July 17, 2104, the Department of Science and Technology of Kien Giang province held a seminar on geographical indications for Phu Quoc fish sauce products in Vietnam.

The participants were leaders of the NOIP, the People's Committee of Phu Quoc District, the Department of Science and Technology of provinces such as Kien Giang, Long An, Tay Ninh, Bac Lieu etc, local businesses and mass media. At the conference, speakers presented new regulations on management and using of Phu Quoc geographical indications as well as introduced the quality and characteristics of the product bearing the GI to consumers, distributors and the competent authorities. |

Speaking at the seminar, Pham & Associates shared its experiences of intellectual property rights protection for geographical indication in recent years, particularly the lessons learnt from losing Buon Ma Thuot Coffee trademark in China.
