Vietnam and Korea to cooperate on intellectual property law

On the morning of June 10, in Hanoi, the Supreme People's Court in coordination with the Supreme Court of Korea held a Symposium on "Cooperation between Vietnam and Korea for the development of Intellectual Property Law".

The participants including the judicial officers of two countries had an opportunity to discuss and share experiences in researching, teaching, training judges, judicial activities through the topics: "The achievements and the shortcomings of the Supreme Court of Korea’s training for Vietnamese Judge"; "The situation of Korean legal system in the field of intellectual property and the course of development"; "The situation of Vietnamese legal system in the field of intellectual property and the course of development."

Pham & Associates said that in the past years, number of IP cases resolved in the Court of Vietnam were very low. This conference was an opportunity for two countries' judicial staffs to share experiences in trial and settlement of cases in relation to intellectual property.
