Vina Acecook Sued Asia Foods for the Act of Trademark Infringement

On May 4, 2015, Vina Acecook instituted a civil claim Asia Foods in the People's Court of Binh Duong Province for the act of trademark infringement.

Vina Acecook is the holder of trademark registration "Hao Hao" No. 62 360 for the goods of instant noodle. At the end of 2014, Vina Acecook discovered the instant noodle bearing "Hao Hang & Fig." of Asia Foods which was in its entirety confusingly similar to the trademark "Hao Hao & Fig.". The National Office of Intellectual Property then concluded that the act constituted a trademark infringement.

Having requested the competent authority applied an administrative action to the infringer that not gain the desired effect, Vina Acecook decided to sue the infringer in the court, in which claimed a public apologies and a compensation for its damages.
